Have you heard the saying that the anticipation of a trip is as enjoyable as the vacation itself?
That’s because the brain gets the same rush of endorphins when imagining something pleasurable as when actually experiencing it.
So come along for a virtual visit to Portugal. We’re going to Azores Islands, which are dubbed the “Hawaii of Europe.” It’s especially meaningful because we’ll be visiting the place where my sister-in-law was born. In a stroke of good fortune, our travel agent booked us in a literary-themed hotel. Every room is inspired by an author, and their bar houses a library of 5.000 books!
